AAAA May Meeting

Mandy Goan is an aquatic plant grower and speaker who has spent time, experimenting and growing aquarium plants for her various club’s HAP programs. What started as a simple goal quickly turned into something much bigger, with over 50 HAP awards earned and hundreds of plant species propagated. Her background includes collecting fish and plants in the wild, which heavily influences how she approaches plant growth today. Instead of trying to recreate nature, Mandy focuses on working with it using natural conditions, including outdoor systems and natural lighting, to push plants beyond what’s typically seen in aquariums. By thinking outside the box and letting nature do what it does best, she continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with aquatic plants.
