About the event
Dr. Erik Johnson began keeping fish in 1973 when tropical fish were still sold in paper boxes and Cardinal Tetras had recently been discovered by a young Herbert Axelrod. In 1991, Dr Johnson earned his Veterinary degree and began a more professional career with fish, eventually writing three books with another currently on the way. He is a pioneer of Koi and Goldfish anesthesia and surgery. Dr Johnson was educated at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and he has returned to teach their UGA Fish Health course on several occasions since then. He currently operates “Johnson Veterinary Services” in Marietta, GA, and is the author of “Koi Health and Disease”, which can be purchased on Amazon and other book retailers. His new book which will be entitled “Savingsickfish.org – the TLDR of Fish Health” is expected to release in 2024.
