About the event
I'm very excited to announce our February 11th meeting! We will be hosting former club member Matt Singley. The title of his presentation will be "Outdoor Tubs – Mother Nature Knows Best!"
Matt has been in the hobby a long time, and he has been a very active club member in the past. Matt was a previous "AAAA Breeder of the Year Winner". Matt has kept and bread many different types of fish from Cichlids (Specialty in Central American and African, Apistogramma, Angels, Discus), plus Goodeids and other live bearers. He has also kept Barbs, Danios and Rainbows, plus Hybrids - Flowerhorns. His Fishroom, at it's largest, was 207 Tanks with Central Air System. With the largest tank being 220G with majority of tanks in the 29G-40G range. Outdoor Tubs, 5 - IBC 275 Gallon Totes, 2 – 300 Gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tanks, 2 – 100 Gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tanks , 2 – 110 Gallon Tuff Stuff Stock Tanks, 4 – 40 Gallon Tuff Stuff Stock Tanks, 2 – 275 Gallon Stock tanks. That's a lot of experience that we can all learn from.
Don't forget the Mini Auction following the speaker's presentation! New rules for Mini Auction, everyone is welcome to sell, not just supporting members, and as usual everyone is welcome to bid in the auction. Non members split 50/50 with the club, supporting club members 70/30 split. So bring your fish and aquatic plants (properly bagged). Check the event discussion for a link to post what you plan to bring.
Not a supporting member? Check out our website atlfishclub.com for more membership information, and all the extras that come with it. Only $20 a year!
We have our Club BOD meeting at 12 noon before every meeting. This meeting is open to everyone, and we encourage you to attend. This is when we do all of our planning for future meetings and events.
