Shell-less Ramshorn Snail

I just thought this would be an interesting post about something that happened to me. For context I have a Pea Puffer and an Amazon Puffer and I keep Ramshorn Snails in many tanks to be able to feed both of them.

About 3 weeks back, I had to remove my Amazon Puffer from it's tankmates Because it kept biting the fins of the Albino Hoplos catfish I have in that tank. (The puffer was fed frozen white krill at the fish store and these catfish were similar in size to the krill the puffer was fed) I realized that after putting the new puffer in the tank with the other catfish, that he singled out the Hoplos and was aggressively eating their fins. After I relocated the puffer, I found a Ramshorn Snail crawling around the tank without a shell, which the only fish that could remove it's shell was the puffer I had removed. I last saw the snail 2 weeks ago and I am unaware if the catfish ate it or if it died or not.

Here is a photo of the snail a few days after I removed the puffer, seeming unphased by it's missing armor, and from my research, very few snails find themselves in the situations where they can live without a shell, and I just thought this would be interesting to show.

Here is a picture of a regular Red Ramshorn Snail for reference (not my photo as mine are in a blackwater tank):
