Question on PVC & Silicone Hose for FX6
Hi. I have a 125 that has a SEVERE black algae problem. I plan to soon break it down(have another tank to hold fish) & while it's down convert my Fluval FX6 hoses to go to bulkheads(to be installed after tank is drilled) instead of the hang over the back setup now. I went to local big box hardware store & the hose that will fit has an inside diameter of 1" & once slid down, the inside diameter of the intake & outake of the FX6 is 7/8". I want to plumb PVC pipe from 2 bulkheads & then have hoses run from the FX6 to the PVC plumbing. I'm also trying to figure how to do CO2 with an inline diffuser. Bear with me as I'm no plumber so I might not use the correct terms.
I've been uyoutubeing the Heck on this by I've read/watched so much that it all has become muddled.
What size bukhead should I be using?
What size PVC should I be using? I would imagine that might be tied to what size bulkhead is being used?
Is there an inline diffuser for a hose that has an inside diameter of 1"?
If not, suggestions on how I might plumb it into PVC pipe?
Thanks in advance, folks.

Thank you for the reply.
