I guess I should have introduced myslef first before https://www.atlfishclub.com/forum/general/question-on-pvc-silicone-hose-for-fx6 , right? We've been doing FW planted tanks since about 1994. Started as most do with 29 & kept going until we have the 125 & 75. The 75 is empty right now but thinking about going SW with it since I have about 80% of the equipment. We've been watching some aquascaping(WOW!!!) videos & are amazed of the talent we've seen. I'm about to break down the 125G due to BHA infestation. Going to save all fish & what plants I can(plus add some more) & plan on trying to something with the tank instead of just a flat surface with some rocks & plants. NOTHING like we've seen but the videos did give me information I never thought of.
Hi Nelson, Welcome! Black beard algae is quite a nuisance. Best of luck with the 125G. Seeing your interest in aquascaping, note that Master Aquascaper Jeff Miotke is coming to the AAAA club meeting on May 4th to present on planted aquariums. He will have some awesome content. And I will not be surprised if he puts some of his stem plant clippings in the mini-auction that will follow his talk.
