HAP for flowers

Hi, HAP leader(s)! Just a heads up that I sent in 2 flower submissions: 1 in Apr for aponogeton ulvaceus and 1 just this week for anubias barteri. I emailed the photos and filled out the HAP form. I know it may take a while, no pressure.

OASE Biomaster Thermo 600 Canister Filter for Sale

I have an OASE Biomaster Thermo 600 Canister Filter for sale. Looking for $200. It is in like new condition. Clean, ready to go. Comes with extra filtration media, extra set of new sponges, extra filter hose, and even the original box and materials. No leaks or issues. This was up and running as recently a 2-3 weeks ago and only took down as I am moving. This filter is good for aquariums in the 50 - 160 gallon range with a flow of up to 350 gallons per hour.

It is very quiet and is unique as it has a removalble integrated heater in the filter so you can remove the heater from your tank and heat the water in the filter instead but is still replaceable.

OASEs are extra nice as they have a prefilter sponge you can take out and rinse so it significantly reduces normal maintenance…

Bumblebee Goby

Rehoming my Bumblebee Goby

He’s currently in freshwater and will need to be slowly acclimated to brackish water by his new owner.

I want to make sure he’s in good hands!

3D printing help update: Never mind

Update:  it turns out, when I looked in the box of stuff Lowell sent with the breeder box I ordered from him a while back, he actually included the uplift tube I wanted. Very considerate. Previously: anyone have the resources to print up a couple of the uplift tubes that work with Fluvals' breeding box? They were featured in a recent Lowell video, but he didn't offer the plans on his Patreon page. I'd be happy to give moneys or fishes. Thanks

I cant make any promises but I could definitely take a swing at it for you. Fair warning it might not be as elegant as his. Do you happen to already have one of the boxes?

Lack of aquatic plant page

Hello quadA friends-- I'm putting this question in the FS page bc it has the most views. In an earlier iteration of the Newsletter we used to have an aquatic plants page, and it was very helpful. Can we do that again?

I believe you are referring to "The Lettuce Box" from the earlier days of the digital Fish Talk Magazine, which was written by the Club HAP chairman and incorporated within the monthly HAP reports in the newsletter. The original HAP chairman has long since retired and moved to Florida where I'm sure he's probably still keeping pond plants and discovering more rare plants.

Our HAP chair has had a couple of changes for who has held it's position in the time since, and I believe it is once again being offered up to anyone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about plants!

If you want to be able to find all of the older Lettuce Box Articles, they can be found on the website library at: https://www.atlfishclub.com/library/42ec916a-056b-491b-b5ae-ae4948c17e0a

I am still working to create more standalone articles from our older newsletters, so there will be a lot more to come of what's currently already there.

Weak stems in my Water Sprite

My water sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides) fails to produce long stems and breaks up into floating plantlets. I use ferts including CSM + B but I don't know why the water sprite fails to grow properly. I know that Fulton County has soft water and would like to know if addition of Calcium and Magnesium would help. I have not done that bc I have no data to support that idea. Can someone who has strong growth of water sprite help me understand if or whether this problem has a solution?

Least Dwarf Crayfish (cambarellus diminutus) & juvenile Hillstream loaches

Got some extra livestock from some of my breeding projects. Willing to let go of the crayfish for 5$ a pop, 20$ for 5. Very peaceful and good with plants unlike most crayfish species.

Also looking to sell some of my extra home bred hillstream loach juveniles. $7 a pop or 3 for $20.
